Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports as an Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an additional medal in the year 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold in 2011, and then was named as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia launched her professional career at the age of 23 in 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the K-1 World Champion, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She was victorious by second round TKO and won her next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. She left in 2018 the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used her superior strike techniques and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. After this win, Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi in an unanimous decision. But, she lost her subsequent fight because of the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by back naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her subsequent three bouts. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
